We laid the grand ole lady down today. Our true ‘Grand Dame’ – A Playgirls Passion. She was our beginning, the seed, the very foundation and impetus that moved our program forward. She was a GREAT mare in every way. Greatness for us is not measured by winning the World Show, she never showed in Oklahoma. It is measured in the show pen where she was always ready and always gave 100%. She loved to show and her Superiors in Open and Amateur Halter are a testament to this attribute and her beauty. It is also measured in the foaling barn, producing Reserve World Champion, multiple Superior Foals and Superior Grand foals… She was great in our eyes and most importantly in our hearts. We laid her body to rest under the shade of the trees, but her Spirit and her Soul runs free now; young again, belly deep in grass. Her nostrils flared, blowing, muscles flowing - floating across heaven, tail up!!! She watches over us with her kind eyes, as we continue on with her legacy and the program she helped put in place. We can see her, She waits for us. Passion – her name encompasses what our hearts felt for her. Passion - what all of us who love horses feel for these magnificent animals. We will never forget her; each with our own special memories of her in our hearts and we Thank God deeply for the gift He gave us in Her – our Passion. For you Evan, who found this Great mare and Loved and Cared for her all her days.
